VIPoma

VIPoma is a neuroendocrine pancreatic tumour that produces the vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) in increased amounts and causes the diarrhoea/hypokalemia/hypochlorhydria syndrome or Verner-Morrison syndrome, characterized by:

• watery diarrhoea
• dehydration
• electrolyte disturbances
