Follicular thyroid cancer accounts for 10-15% of thyroid cancers. It can also spread to the lymph nodes, however less often than the papillary thyroid cancer. On the other hand, it is more likely to give distant metastases, mainly to the lungs and bones, compared to papillary thyroid cancer.
